Manufacture and install a galvanised metal awning extension.

A Logan-based warehouse approached Davis Welding and Fabrication following a search for an experienced Gold Coast metal fabrication service. The client required an extension to an existing galvanised metal awning extension.

What were the challenges?

This job involved extending each side of an existing building awning. The client required a complete design and construct solution.

How did Davis Welding and Fabrication solve these challenges?

• A site visit was conducted where the client’s needs were discussed. Careful site measurements were taken, and a detailed drawing was produced by us.
• The galvanised beams were manufactured in our metal welding and fabrication workshop and transported to site.
• The installation of the beams and purlins was completed over two days. A small crane and scissor lift were used to lift the beams and purlins into place.

Project result

• Our client was very happy that we completed the job on time so the roofing installer could commence on schedule.
• Our client made special mention that all our parts fitted perfectly and there was no need for unplanned modifications of any parts once onsite. This led to a speedy install and minimum crane hire.
